Legalize It!

Okay, I know I am going to get people angry with me on this one, but I'm always up for a good debate. Bring it.

I saw this article online: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=153&sid=8359921

Let me start by saying I don't use marijuana and I'm not planning on doing so in the future. However, I have seen firsthand the adverse effects prescription pain medication cause and how little they can do for pain. They are addictive, cause horrible side effects, and lead to many deaths each year. Marijuana has proven benefits without these things. So I have never understood why we spent resources going after people distributing medical marijuana to people who are benefiting from it. I think more states need to start using it for medical purposes and I think this is a step in the right direction.

What do you think?

"we" go after people distributing medical marijuana because America doesn't care about how you feel, or if you have terrible side effects, they just care that you pay your monies to your health care provider and to the pharmacies for the drugs.

Right, as soon as the pharmaceutical companies figure out how to get rich on medical marijuana, you better believe it will be legalized everywhere.

Hey! So to catch up: you've had your baby, he's all handsome and grown up, you still talk to yourself (who are we kidding, I do too. But you know that), Maura is an artist, you've had some interesting nocturnal adventures (have we talked about this before? It sounds familiar), you mention the Carpenters on at least two occasions, and you are currently reading The Book Thief (I really enjoyed it. I'll be interested to know what you think of it). And yes, I made that all one sentence.

I miss sitting next to you!

Oh, and for the record, I have no problem with marijuana being legalized. Yeah, I said it.

Ashlee! Oh how I've missed you. I don't want to name names or anything, but the girl who replaced you hums a lot and it is creepy. You know how they hum in horror movies before bad things happen? I always feel like something horrible is about to happen. She is no Ashlee. Oh my baby is so sweet, go to my facebook page to see pics. Remember when you used to jump when the phone rang? You made me feel normal sometimes :) That is hard to do.

I am totally with you on the marijuana thing. My mother had breast cancer and while she was going thru chemo she was so sick. It was really hard to see her go thru that. I really wish she had some of the stuff at the time to make her feel better. And believe me if I were to go thru something like that I would definately find some of it, legal or not.

Karrie, I never knew you views on this, I think I like you even better now! Too bad most people don't agree with us, right?

weed! weed! weed! weed!
okay no but really, I don't have any objections to medicinal marijuana or legalizing it for that purpose. I do have problems with giant weed farms in the mountains and crazy hispanic drug lords getting rich and playing mobster. This I do not like so much. Also, I do not like teenagers who like weed, or grown people for that matter. Weed is for pain. Let's all say it together, WEED IS FOR PAIN!
