If the Shoe Fits

This weekend I attempted to take my kids on a nice outing with mom to Thanksgiving Point. As usual, things didn't really go too well. We got to the Farm and there was a line out to the parking lot. I didn't think that many people wanted to go see some smelly pigs and horses, but I guess there are limited activities in Utah Valley on a Saturday morning. So we waited in line all of 3 minutes before I lost patience and we left. We then went to see a 3D movie about Dinosaurs. Maura wouldn't open her eyes because she was scared and Collin kicked me the whole time and once the popcorn and candy was gone, so was he, wandering everywhere and throwing things at people. We finally left and as we are pulling out onto the street Maura cries, "Mommy, we left Sally! You have to go back!" So I turned around stopped in the middle of the parking lot and opened the door. I told Maura that Sally had 3 seconds to get in. So we are sitting in the parking lot (with cars behind us) and Maura is yelling, "Sally, hurry, run!" Sally got in and we took off...I'm sure we baffled a few people who I'm sure thought I was nuts. Who am I to argue?

Happy Earth Day!

So far I have celebrated Earth Day by:
  1. Adding 3 disposable diapers to our landfills
  2. Driving in my non-fuel efficient SUV
  3. Printing the wrong document and throwing away 100 pages of paper
  4. I'm pretty sure I left all the lights in my house on when I left this morning
Hopefully you are doing better than me...

Sally is home from the hospital!

Good news....Sally is finally home from the hospital. She has been suffering from a long, mysterious illness but she is home resting now. That is the good news. The bad news is that since she is still weak, she needs to sleep in Maura's bed. Guess where that leaves Maura... On my bed. I hope Sally feels better soon so she can go back to sleeping on the floor where she belongs.

Zoo

I am told that Sally is in this picture...next to Maura. She had a great time at the Zoo and the giraffe was her favorite. I was hoping that maybe she decided to stay, but no such luck (she was in the car with us on the way home).

Maura was most excited about seeing a "big snake." Here is your python, Maura. She kept tyring to convince me that it "looked nice." Sure it does sweetie.

Overall, the zoo was a big hit with all the kids. Collin only tried to climb into the bear's cage once, so it went pretty well.

Easter

Easter was lots of fun. Olivia got mad when there were eggs in her basket and Collin shoved one up the tailpipe. A fun time had by all!

Maura was very excited to see Abby, Connor, "little" Emily and Holly. She especially loved Holly and kept asking if she could pet her.
